Nicole M.

Nicole joined the Rescued Heart Team in 2011 and has been in the veterinary field since 2002. She graduated from the Veterinary Technology program and earned her certification through Cedar Valley College in 2008. Nicole enjoys spending every bit of time she can in the outdoors with her boyfriend and two sons. They also keep busy with their dog Yuka, three cats, and pet bird.

Caitlin started as a kennel staff at Rescued Heart and is now an assistant. She loves to be outdoors hunting and fishing or with her dogs and her family. She lives at home with her parents, two younger brothers, and two dogs. She is currently going to school to further her education in hopes of one day being a veterinarian.

BayleeBaylee joined us as an assistant in 2018. She has 4 brothers and graduated from Pekin High School in 2016. She is currently studying at Penn Foster College to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. Her furry friends include her cat, Mellow, and her dog, Kobe.

Shay knew from a young age that she would always work with animals. Her career with animals started when she volunteered at an animal shelter in high school and later became an employee when she turned 18. She has been a veterinarian technician since 2012 and enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, watching movies, and being outdoors.

Heather H.

Heather is a veterinary technician who began her career in 2014 in Fairbanks, Alaska. She was certified as a veterinary assistant after completing courses through Animal Behavior College and completing an externship in Alaska. She joined the Rescued Heart team in July 2016. She lives with her fiancé, Tyler, along with her daughter, Taylyn, on their cattle farm. Heather has a purebred mutt, Willow, and her trouble maker cat, Guppy. In her spare time she enjoys fishing, running, and riding her four-wheeler and snowmobile with her fiancé.

Heather S.

Heather started working at the clinic in 2011. She received her Associate Degree in Veterinary Technologies in October 2015 and became certified in March 2016. She resides in Green Valley with her husband, Frank, and son, Hagen. They have one dog: Tonks. They also have six cats: Tracy, Hildee, Nox, Jenga, Stark, and Pepper!

Jennifer joined the Rescued Heart team in 2019. She graduated from Parkland College with an Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology in 2007. Jenn loves living in the country chasing after her two boys and caring for all her critters. In her free time she enjoys volunteer firefighting, hunting, running, and riding her horses.

Katie

Katie joined the Rescued Heart team in 2015. She is a certified veterinary assistant. She obtained her certificate through the Animal Behavior College. Katie enjoys working with all kinds of animals, but especially fostering orphaned kittens. Her family includes her wife, Kari, her stepdaughter, Emma, eight cats, and two dogs.

Nicole P.Nicole joined Rescued Heart in 2020. She has been a veterinary technician since 2006. Nicole and her husband live on a farm with their kids, dogs, cats and goats. In her free time she enjoys camping, hiking and reading.

Breanna

Breanna became a part of Rescued Heart in 2021. She is currently attending Penn Foster to become a certified Veterinary Technician and will be graduating this fall (2024). She has three children: Addylin, Riley and Sylis. Three dogs: Saber, Bear and Milo. Two cats: Tazz and Gracie.

Kami

Kami began working at Rescued Heart in 2022 and is currently attending Bradley University for pre-vet! She has one dog, Bo. In Kami’s spare time she enjoys spending time outdoors and loves to hangout with her family and friends!

Julie

Julie has been a receptionist at Rescued Heart since July of 2013. She and her husband Larry have been together since July 1990. They have two sons together: Dakota and Jacob. Julie's jungle includes her three dogs - Sam, Harley, and Max; her four crazy cats; one bird; one lizard; three turtles; and a few fish!

Miranda

Miranda started her career with Rescued Heart in May 2015. She works as both a receptionist and a technician! Her family includes her boyfriend Vince and their two sons Andrew and Archer. She has seven cats, four dogs, lizards, and snakes!

Jacy

Jacy has been a receptionist at Rescued Heart since June of 2015. Her family includes her husband, Ryan and 3 children- Paxton, Finley and Tripp. She has two dogs, Charlie and Kya and her cat, Kabuki. Jacy enjoys live music and spending time with her family and friends!

Bobbie F.

Bobbie started working at Rescued Heart in 2016. She has been a receptionist for many years and loves working with animals. Bobbie lives with her husband, Joe. Bobbie has two children and five grandsons. She enjoys riding on the Harley, reading, baking, and the outdoors, and she loves spending time with her family and friends.

Alexis

Alexis joined Rescued Heart in 2021. She has a son named Julien and one cat furrbaby named Sushi. Alexis enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, and painting!

ChelseaChelsea joined Rescued Heart in October of 2018. While at Rescued Heart she met and adopted her boxer, Jewels. Chelsea also has two cats, Rose and Miss Kitty. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and going out with friends.

Chelsea joined Rescued Heart in October of 2018. She now is a full time receptionist and is also our Adoption Coordinator. Chelsea has two cats, Rose and Miss Kitty, and one Standard Poodle, Titus. She enjoys music, reading, and traveling with friends.

Davida

Davida started working at Rescued Heart in May of 2022. She has two beautiful daughters, a great husband, four cats, and two dogs! She loves spending time with her family and pets. Davida also enjoys hanging out in the summertime and sunshine!

Bobbie H.

Bobbie became a part of the Rescued Heart team in 2020. She and her husband, Paul, have a son and daughter and five grandkids! Bobbie has two dogs and one kitty at home that keep her busy. Outside of work Bobbie enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

Kari joined the Rescued Heart team in Oct. 2013. She began working with animals in 2010. Kari likes to foster orphaned kittens and has a soft spot for the geriatric pets. She graduated from PCHS in 2002. Her family includes her daughter, Emma, her spouse Kate, 7 cats: Blackie, Rachel, Alex, Izzy, Elliot, Whiskey and Bourbon and 2 dogs: Sage and Havoc. Ashlynn

Ashlynn joined the Rescued Heart team in 2018. She is currently our daycare attendant and has recently graduated from Animal Behavior College as a dog trainer! Ashlynn lives with her longtime boyfriend, Ronnie. In her spare time she enjoys all things arts and crafts and reading.

Jayla

Jayla became part of Rescued Heart kennel staff at the beginning of 2021. Jayla is a huge animal lover and enjoys seeing all the new furry faces in boarding! She enjoys fishing and spending time at the lake with her dog Layla.

Alyssa H.

Alyssa joined the Rescued Heart team in 2019. In 2018 she married her husband Brett and together they share two twin cats; Loki and Thor. Alyssa always enjoys loving on the animals that come in and meeting new furry faces. In her spare time she can be found hiking or reading a book!

Penny

Penny has worked at Rescued Heart since April 2015. She serves as a reception assistant. She and her husband Roger have been married since 1980. Together they have three (adult) children and nine grandchildren. She also has three dogs: Layla (King Charles Cavalier Spaniel),Silas (King Charles Cavalier Spaniel), and Ella Blue (Cocker Spaniel).

 
MichelleMichelle joined the Rescued Heart Team in 2019. She and her husband have been married since 1998. Together they have one son, and two daughters, and three dogs. In her free time she love to hang out with family and friends, crafting, and loves to fish.
